FashionTech Couture
Anouk Wipprecht is a Dutch Fashion-Tech Designer who is currently an Artist in Residence at AutoDesk. She is known for her couture, one-of-a-kind conceptual dresses featuring kinetic and interactive components. As an artist, she has managed to move seamlessly between commercial commissions, and the art establishment — working with clients like Volkswagen, The Black-Eyed Peas and Cirque Du Soleil; as well as exhibiting at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam and MuseumsQuartier, Vienna.
With a talent for team building and collaboration, in projects shown here Anouk worked together with Technologist, Daniel Schatzmayr on her Spider Dress; in collaboration with Engineer, Marius Kintel and Sculptor, Jane Tingley on Dare Droid 2.0 Cocktail Dress, and with Technologist, Aduen Darriba, on her Smoke Dress (other variations of the Smoke Dress have been created, including one in collaboration with Niccolo Casas, whom Anouk has also collaborated with on other works including those for VW and Cirque Du Soleil).
Work shown here features the photography of Anna Červinková, Spider Dress; Jean-Sébastien Senécal, Dare Droid 2.0 Cocktail Dress; and Robert Lunak, Smoke Dress, as well as Anouk’s portrait photograph above.
